Gematsu reports that a new Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance trailer breaks down the Hammer’s Boosted Actions. The report, published on September 5, describes a weapon-focused video built around aerial attacks, erupting movement and heavier strikes.

The supplied YouTube page uses the title “Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance – Official Hammer Boosted Action Trailer” and lists IGN in its recovered metadata. The video is therefore traceable, but the available material does not independently establish that this specific upload came from Capcom or the official Monster Hunter channel.

The broader system behind the footage is official. According to the PlayStation Blog, the Boost Bracer works through the Hunter’s Slinger to temporarily enhance the combat capabilities of all 14 weapon types. Gematsu describes the Hammer’s reported actions as aerial attacks, erupting movement and bigger hits. The retrieved primary sources do not independently name or demonstrate those three actions.

Capcom’s official Ascendance page lists the expansion for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam, with release planned for 2027. It also states that a copy of Monster Hunter Wilds is required. PlayStation adds that players will need Hunter Rank 40 and completion of “Awaking From a Dream” to begin the expansion’s story and enter Master Rank.

Ascendance is officially confirmed for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam, but the retrieved Capcom page does not list Nintendo Switch 2 as a platform for the expansion.
