Previously, NetherRealm Studios had confirmed that Mortal Kombat 1 would no longer receive DLCs following the release of the Definitive Edition.
Considering the developer is waiting for EVO to conclude before announcing these updates, these will likely be game balancing adjustments rather than new content additions.
