Horror Inc. vice president Robbie Barsamian confirmed that a new film sequel and a new Friday the 13th game are in early development.
“I can say that a new film sequel and a new game sit at the top of our list. That’s where most of our energy is going right now. And I can say we’ve finally reached a position where we can deliver on this,” stated Barsamian.
“While we’re not officially announcing with our partners today, both are on the way. Both are in development and both are coming.” No further details were mentioned.
Past rumors suggested Friday the 13th: The Game—which was removed from digital stores in 2023, and whose servers were deactivated in 2024—could return. However, Barsamian hints that this refers to a completely new game rather than reviving the discontinued title.
