Publisher Compile Heart and developer HYDE have released a new trailer for the side-scrolling action RPG Magical Librarian Ariana: The Books of the Seven Heroes. Watch it below.
Here’s a description from Compile Heart:
1,500 years ago, someone brought magic to humanity. This individual bestowed upon humans four magic tomes called “The Books of the Four Elements,” which produce magical power, and a “Magic Pen” that creates spellbooks.
As humanity learned the concepts of “magic” and “magical power,” they used the Magic Pen to create various spellbooks.
Among these, three books known as “The Books of the Three Phenomena” possessed magical power comparable to the Books of the Four Elements. These seven books are collectively called “The Books of the Seven Heroes,” and the facility for managing and repairing magic books is known as the “Library.”
In the present day.
A crisis erupts in the Library, the vast repository of knowledge and source of all magical power. Someone has tampered with the Books of the Seven Heroes.
As a result, magic has vanished from the world…
Librarian Ariana’s mission is to restore the altered Books of the Seven Heroes. Using her special librarian magic to enter the books, can Ariana repair all seven tomes and solve the Library’s mystery?
Magical Librarian Ariana: The Books of the Seven Heroes will launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch on August 21 in Japan. A Western release date has not been announced.
