Mega Man: Dual Override is scheduled to launch in spring 2027 according to Nintendo’s official announcement, with Capcom confirming versions for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. The new entry will also let players control Proto Man alongside Mega Man.

Nintendo’s official announcement specifies the spring 2027 window for the Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch versions. Gematsu reports that the same spring window applies across the game’s announced platforms, while Capcom’s official materials confirm a broader 2027 release and list PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam and the Epic Games Store.

For PlayStation players, Dual Override is planned for both PS5 and PS4. Capcom’s official game page also describes Mega Man and Proto Man as having different fighting styles, with each hero having a distinct fighting style that requires different strategies.

The PlayStation Blog has previously highlighted revised controls, checkpoints, Custom Chips and the Override ability in its PS5 coverage. The official PlayStation Store listing is available for wishlisting in the US storefront, but the game does not yet have an exact release date.

Capcom has also positioned the game as part of Mega Man’s 40th-anniversary celebrations. Details still absent from the announced information include the precise launch day, pricing, editions, regional availability and any technical or content differences between the PS5 and PS4 versions.
