No Code, the studio behind Stories Untold, Observation, and the upcoming Silent Hill: Townfall, has changed its name to Screen Burn Interactive.
“We’re not who we were in 2015,” said Screen Burn Interactive founder and creative director Jon McKellan, referring to the company’s start with just two people in Glasgow, Scotland. “We’ve grown and changed. For starters, we now have programmers! So we needed a name that reflected what has always been at the heart of the games themselves: the imperfect feel of aging technology and the lasting impact of a story that stays with you long after the final credits.”
Screen Burn Interactive seeks to capture that spirit, comparing “the ghost of an image burned into an old tube screen” to the memory of a game forever etched in your mind.
Development of Silent Hill: Townfall is still underway with Konami and Annapurna Interactive. More information will be announced in due course.
