Ondeh Ondeh Kaya’s Tasty Tale has been announced for PlayStation 5, with the official PlayStation trailer targeting a 2027 release. The game comes from Metronomik and places rhythm at the centre of its exploration, puzzles and action-adventure combat.

“Taste the tempo in Ondeh Ondeh Kaya’s Tasty Tale, coming 2027!” reads the description on the official PlayStation trailer. It also describes a journey in which players listen to the world and harness the power of the Ondeh to solve puzzles and overcome eccentric foes.

According to the game’s official Steam page, Kaya is pursuing the role of a Worldbuilder in Selera, a whimsical setting inspired by the diverse cultures of Southeast Asia. The page presents music as the “heartbeat” of her adventure, with rhythm guiding exploration, shaping puzzles and powering encounters.

Steam lists Metronomik as the developer and Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia as the publisher for the PC version. However, the store page currently gives the release status only as “Coming soon”, so there is no exact launch date yet.

Gematsu reported that the game is also planned for Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam. Those additional console versions are not confirmed in the supplied metadata for the official PlayStation video. The supplied evidence does not identify platform-specific PS5 features or regional release differences.
