First, I’ll ensure that all technical gaming terms are correctly translated. For example, “controle sem fio DualSense” becomes “wireless DualSense controller.” I need to keep the names of products like DualSense Edge and PlayStation terms as they are.
Next, the user wants all HTML formatting preserved. I’ll check each HTML tag to make sure they stay intact. The images and links should remain unless they’re from psxbrasil.com.br. The user specified to remove any links pointing to that domain but keep the internal content. For instance, the link in the second paragraph “Many PS5 accessories, including the DualSense wireless controller, are designed to support multiple devices beyond PS5, including PC, Mac, and mobile devices. We believe enabling cross-platform compatibility for our accessories creates a more flexible and seamless gaming experience.
As part of this initiative, we’re excited to announce that the latest beta version of the PS5 system update introduces a new feature allowing DualSense and DualSense Edge wireless controllers to be paired with multiple devices simultaneously, making it easier to switch between them without repeated pairing.
Additionally, we’re sharing new details about Power Saver for Games – a new mode enabling compatible PS5 games to run with reduced energy consumption and environmental impact – which will launch later.
While beta access is limited to invited participants in select countries*, we plan to roll out the update globally in coming months. Selected beta participants will receive an email invitation tomorrow when it becomes available. Some beta features may change or be omitted from the final release.
Here are the feature details:
Pairing DualSense Wireless Controllers With Multiple Devices
Previously, users needed to re-pair controllers when switching between devices like PC, Mac, or mobile.
This update lets users register up to four devices simultaneously and switch between them directly from the controller. For example, you can seamlessly transition from PS5 to PC gaming or connect to smartphones for PS5 Remote Play. This enhanced flexibility empowers gaming across multiple platforms.
How to Pair Your Controller With Multiple Devices
By pressing combinations of the PS button and face buttons (Triangle/Circle/Cross/Square), users can assign devices to specific slots.
Disconnect any USB cables before pairing.
- Ensure the controller’s light bar and player indicator are off. If lit, hold the PS button until they turn off.
- Hold one face button (Triangle/Circle/Cross/Square) + PS button for over 5 seconds. The light bar and player indicator will flash twice.
- Enable Bluetooth on your device and select “Add Bluetooth device.” Your device will detect nearby controllers.
- Select your controller from detected devices. The light bar will illuminate, with player indicators showing slot number via blinks.
How to Switch Between Devices
After device registration, switch between paired devices by pressing PS button + corresponding face button, whether the controller is on or off.
- Power on the target device
- Hold the corresponding face button + PS button for ~3 seconds. Release when light bar/player indicator flashes. Player lights will blink to indicate slot number.
Slot Number | Button Combo | Player Indicator | Connected Device (Example)** |
---|---|---|---|
Slot 1 | PS + Triangle | 1 light lit | PS5 |
Slot 2 | PS + Circle | 2 lights lit | PS5 Pro |
Slot 3 | PS + Cross | 3 lights lit | Windows PC |
Slot 4 | PS + Square | 4 lights lit | iPhone |
