QUByte Interactive announced a major evolution of the QUByte EmulationEngine (QEE) with the introduction of a new module dedicated to running and converting games developed in HTML5.

Initially focused on games made with Construct 2 and 3, the new module simplifies the porting process to consoles, ensuring full compatibility with video game hardware. Future updates will expand support to other engines exporting HTML5 games.

“Our goal with this module is to simplify the adaptation of HTML5-based games to consoles and native platforms, improving performance while preserving the original gameplay experience,” stated Marivaldo Cabral, CEO & Software Engineer at QUByte Interactive.

The module employs a hybrid AOT (Ahead-of-Time) compilation approach, combining pre-compiled bytecode with native components to boost performance and reduce runtime overhead. This method ensures high compatibility with HTML5 titles while maintaining their original behavior without code rewrites.

With this advancement, QUByte now has a streamlined pathway for bringing HTML5 games to platforms including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox One/Series X|S, enabling faster, more reliable, and cost-effective porting.
