Rainbow Six Siege Announces New Seasonal Series With R$40,000 Prize Pool

Rainbow Six Siege X players have just received a new tournament to compete in. Ubisoft announced the Seasonal Series this Thursday (7th), a cross-platform championship open for fans to enter or develop themselves in a structured competition, whether on PC or consoles. The total prize pool reaches R$ 40,000 per season.

The Seasonal Series will feature a new stage during three seasons of the year: Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Each will be contested in weekly matches on weekends, divided into three phases: Open Phase, Contenders League, and the Finals.

In the Open Phase, teams will join a bracketed competition where the first opponent is determined by draw, and subsequent matches are based on performance within the competition. The best result from each weekend is recorded on the team profile and used to determine the overall leaderboard position. The Open Phase lasts four weeks, with the top eight teams advancing to the next phase.

The Contenders League phase will be played in a single round-robin format. The top six teams advance to the Finals to compete for the seasonal title and cash prize, while the bottom two teams compete in the Promise Division play-in.

Stage naming follows the calendar based on the geographical region. This means the Northern Hemisphere will initially compete in the Summer stage (R6 North America Summer Series), while the Southern Hemisphere competes in the Winter stage (R6 Siege X South America Winter Series).

Registrations for the first season of the new competition are now open. Siege X players, both PC and console users, can register their teams to participate. Teams from Brazil and South America should register for the R6 Siege X South America Winter Series. Teams from Central America and Mexico should register for the R6 North America Summer Series.
