Rematch PS5 Launch Lacks Cross-Play, But Confirmed for Future Update

Sifu developer Sloclap is launching Rematch this week, a new futuristic soccer title.

However, Sloclap announced that cross-play won’t be ready in time for Rematch‘s launch.

Sloclap shared the news on social media but assured players that adding cross-play in a future update remains a priority. The developer didn’t provide a timeline for when cross-play features will be available.

Teamwork, strategy, and skill are the core of Rematch. Set in diverse virtual arenas, the game emphasizes the player’s on-field perspective. Gameplay is designed for uninterrupted competitive play – no fouls, offsides or VAR. Recently, Sloclap also revealed its first professional partnerships for the game including Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldinho Gaúcho, along with Barcelona FC goalkeeper Marc Ter Stegen and Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo.

Rematch launches June 19th for PS5, Xbox Series and PC.
