According to sources from the website Insider Gaming, a new game in the Guilty Gear series that was in development was recently canceled by developer Arc System Works.
Sources from the site claim the game’s cancellation occurred in recent weeks. Regarding the reason, nothing specific was mentioned by those who spoke under condition of anonymity.
The game in development had not been officially announced. However, when asked what this meant for the franchise’s future, one source stated it was “back to the drawing board.”
Even if this proves true, Guilty Gear Strive continues to receive support, with Lucy (from Cyberpunk: Mercenaries) on the way.
