Publisher FuRyu and developer AQURIA have announced that the school-life RPG VARLET will release on August 27th in the West for PS5, Switch, and PC via Steam.

The developer has also released an English-subtitled version of VARLET’s latest pre-launch trailer, offering a broader overview of the setting, deeper insights into the turn-based combat and school-adventure gameplay, plus an opportunity to learn more about other Kousei Academy members players will encounter.
At the core of VARLET’s experience is its dynamic Tri-Stat System, which shapes character progression based on player choices. These six distinct attributes are divided between Light and Dark Triad traits; Light Triad stats emphasize morality, agreeableness, and altruism, while Dark Triad stats lean toward Machiavellianism, psychopathy, and narcissism. Throughout school days, players will face various situations requiring response choices, with each decision point contributing to the protagonist’s Triad alignment. This may unlock additional combat options—Dark Triad granting powerful new abilities, and Light Triad providing potent buffs to support allies or unlocking special new choices typically unavailable during main scenarios.
