Today (21), Wu Legacy’s Young Dirty Bastards (YDB)—son of Ol’ Dirty Bastard—officially released a new original track titled “The Path Just Begun,” now available on music streaming platforms. Inspired by and created through a partnership with SEGA for Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, the composition celebrates YDB’s love for the legendary franchise.
Coinciding with the track’s release, SEGA debuted a new trailer blending YDB’s sound and lyrics with breathtaking gameplay footage from the franchise’s latest entry: Shinobi: Art of Vengeance.
The YDB x SHINOBI partnership celebrates two parallel journeys: the mic passes to a new generation with YDB and Wu Legacy, and SEGA enters a new era with its beloved SHINOBI franchise. As one of SEGA’s most iconic franchises, Shinobi is reinvented for a new generation of players with the upcoming Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, mirroring YDB’s role as the next torchbearer of a musical legacy rooted in martial arts mythology, “East meets West” style, and cultural resilience.
Shinobi: Art of Vengeance releases on August 29 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC.
