Sony has finally removed a developer that deceived users on the PS Store early this year.
In April, thousands of players fell for a copy of the popular PC game Schedule 1, but ended up having their refunds denied. Now, the scammer and their games appear to have been removed from the PS Store (via PS LifeStyle).
When it was discovered that “PublishMe Agency Ltd” had managed to sell thousands of copies of its Schedule 1 clone on the PS Store, the developer immediately renamed the game to “Weed Drug Empire” and removed all references to the popular PC title. Until recently, this “trick” worked and the $14.99 game was a top-seller on the PS Store.
Regardless, all of PublishMe Agency’s games—including the infamous Weed Drug Empire—are now gone from the PS Store. The developer also had another popular PC game clone listed titled Report Extraction. Previously called R.E.P.O., the title understandably had no connection to the PC original.
