The Ascent will receive a Legacy Patch on existing PlayStation versions on November 19, according to a new announcement from developer Neon Giant. The update is scheduled to arrive ahead of the game’s Ultimate Edition launch on Nintendo Switch 2.

The announcement, distributed through GamesPress, specifically lists existing PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation versions as receiving the patch. It does not identify PS4 and PS5 separately, so the available information does not establish whether both versions will receive individual updates.

Neon Giant says the Legacy Patch will include localization improvements and fixes for previously identified issues. No patch notes, version number, download size or precise release time have been announced.

The Ascent is currently listed for both PS4 and PS5 on its official PlayStation game page. The page describes the title as a solo and cooperative action-shooter RPG supporting online or local co-op with up to three other players.

The PlayStation announcement is separate from the new Nintendo release. The Ascent Ultimate Edition will launch digitally on Nintendo Switch 2 through Nintendo eShop on December 3, priced at $29.99. Pre-orders are scheduled to open on October 6, with a 10 percent discount bringing the price to $26.99 through launch.

The Switch 2 package includes the base game and the Cyber Heist, CyberSec Pack and Cyber Warrior Pack DLCs. PlayStation already has a Cyber Edition containing those three DLC packs, but the September announcement does not say that the PlayStation versions will receive new Ultimate Edition packaging, pricing or additional content.

KRAFTON and Neon Giant previously outlined a broader November update involving planned changes to co-op teleportation, the encounter system, save reliability, progression safeguards, HDR and localization. The latest announcement only explicitly confirms localization improvements and fixes for previously identified issues, leaving the relationship between those plans and the November 19 Legacy Patch unclear.
