Due to QuakeCon 2025 taking place this weekend, The Elder Scrolls Online can be played for free between today and August 12.
At first glance, the free trial appears to be available only on PS5. Additionally, only the base game is accessible for this promotion. When visiting the PS Store, note that you must select the version labeled “Free (Trial)”. If you’re a PS Plus Extra subscriber, the game has been accessible for some time already.
Description:
Includes the base game The Elder Scrolls Online and the Morrowind chapter.
Every legend begins somewhere, and in The Elder Scrolls Online, yours begins now. Write your saga in a pivotal chapter from Tamriel’s distant past, set nearly a thousand years before TES V: Skyrim, and discover a world ripe with adventure and possibility.
A DIVERSE FANTASY REALM: Journey across the vast expanse of Tamriel to uncover a world of adventures. Explore mushroom forests in Morrowind, battle Daedric enemies in Oblivion realms, or challenge other players in PvP.
RICH, COLLABORATIVELY CRAFTED STORIES: Immerse yourself in award-winning storytelling crafted with the same dedication as your favorite Elder Scrolls games. Explore an ever-evolving world with friends or venture solo.
PURPOSE IN EVERY PATH: Choose from countless quests and challenges tailored to your interests and ambitions. Relax with fishing along coastlines, hunt lost treasures, conquer group dungeons, or forge new armor. This is your Elder Scrolls world.
