Bandai Namco has released a new gameplay trailer for Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree. Check it out below.
Here’s a description:
Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree features immersive gameplay with fast-paced action, hand-drawn characters, stunning backgrounds, and an original soundtrack by legendary composer Hitoshi Sakimoto.
These elements come together to create a vibrant world where peaceful splendor hides a lurking threat, and bravery is the only way forward. Set in distant lands, the tranquil village of Shinju is threatened by the evil Magatsu’s quest for domination. Towa, the priestess of Shinju village, must join forces with eight unique companions to defeat Magatsu and his minions.
Players must choose two Guardians to venture into each mission – one wields the power of the sacred sword called Tsurugi, and the other is the bearer of the magical staff Kagura. Each Guardian has unique abilities that can be unlocked and enhanced within dungeons or through meta-progression in the central world of Shinju Village.
In addition to each Guardian’s abilities, players can find various crafting materials to forge and upgrade their swords, making each combat style and Guardian pair unique. As the Guardians undertake their missions across different timelines, the village evolves over the years, developing unique bonds with the residents and learning more about their customs and stories that are interwoven into the village’s workings.
Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree will be released on September 19 for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC.
