Riot Games has revealed a new map for VALORANT, Corrode, launching next Wednesday, June 25. Corrode features medieval streets reconfigured with industrial equipment and layered defenses, elevated above vast salt plains.
The map’s key features are:
- 2 Spike sites
- 3-lane layout
- Layered defenses and fallback positions
- Reduced ability to execute overly aggressive plays in map design
This 5v5 map is set in a French castle transformed into a radianite salt mining facility, taking us to Omega Earth – a world ravaged by climate change. Corrode will enter the Competitive queue immediately after launch. During the first two weeks, players will lose only 50% RR (Ranked Rating) for losses on Corrode while still receiving 100% RR for wins. This aims to help them learn the map in a competitive environment without fear of rank demotion. Additionally, the Swiftplay mode will feature a dedicated Corrode queue from its June 25 launch until June 30.
This Act also introduces the Phasic Protection Collection, a skin line blending cutting-edge technology with tactical precision. Weapons included are: Vandal, Outlaw, Ghost, Bulldog, and a new melee option: the Flaying Knife.
The new Battle Pass will feature items like the 5 Years Card: Kill All Radiants, Bonsai Gun Buddy, ATLAS // CMD Vandal, and more.
VALORANT’s 2025 Season // Act IV arrives next Wednesday, June 25. The Phasic Protection Collection will become available on June 26.
