Bohemia Interactive has announced Vigor Turmoil, a deadly new chapter in the Outlands. As red clouds gather and devastation looms on the horizon, Outlanders must adapt or perish. With a new Battle Pass, revamped crafting system, explosive new items, and fresh shoot-and-loot events, the path to survival remains treacherous.
Enter a post-apocalyptic wasteland where salvaged scrap becomes survival gear. Featuring cosmetic items, impact grenades, unexploded missile looting events, and slaughter showdowns, Season 23 delivers explosive action.
Revamped Crafting System
The redesigned crafting system prepares Outlanders for battle. Say farewell to single-item crafting queues. Batch crafting and the new workbench provide streamlined item production, reducing material processing time. Weapons and consumable items can now be crafted from Level 1 using Plans, while ammunition no longer requires Weapon Plans. A new Ammo Press unlocks at Level 2, enabling creation of various ammunition types as players upgrade it.
The crafting interface has been overhauled for easier inventory stockpiling and preparation, accessible directly through the workbench tab.
Battle Pass Risen from Ashes
Season 23’s Battle Pass features 75 tiers of post-apocalyptic rewards, including rusted armor, masks, timeworn backpacks, and gear forged from twisted metal and scorched fabric. With 25 more tiers than standard passes, it features a reduced XP curve.
Missiles Inbound: Chaos Ensues
The new season introduces the unexploded missile looting event—a high-risk Encounter challenging players. Missiles will crash mid-match, inviting players to risk everything defusing them through a new minigame. Succeed for valuable loot rewards. Players may alternatively blast them open with explosives for a direct approach. Beware: missiles emit radiation, adding an extra danger layer.
Additionally, the new Impact Grenade detonates on contact, concussing enemies while applying blinding and disorienting effects. Throwing mechanics upgrades deliver improved accuracy.
New Showdown Slaughter Modes
Season 23 introduces fresh Showdown events including:
- Blade Slaughter: Knives only
- Hunter Slaughter: Crossbows only
- Pioneer Slaughter: New weapons and consumables exclusively
- Weapon Slaughter: Fixed weapon categories

Enhanced radiation visuals emerge across the Outlands during this season. Radioactive effects permeate skies and landscapes, accompanied by foreboding environmental winds, making every encounter more immersive and unsettling.
