A TV series adaptation of Wolfenstein is in development at Amazon MGM Studios, according to Variety.
Exact plot details are being kept under wraps, but the show’s official synopsis states only: “the story of killing Nazis is perennial.”
Patrick Somerville has been hired to serve as creator, writer, executive producer and showrunner for the project under his production company chaoticgood.tv. Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, and Athena Wickham will executive produce for Kilter Films. James Altman of Keyframe Films and Jerk Gustafsson of MachineGames, the developer of Wolfenstein, will also executive produce.
Amazon has several other game-based projects in development. Among them are a Mass Effect TV series, a God of War TV series, among others.
